With over 40 years at Berlin Ramos, what continues to drive you forward?
My career allows me to bring together my joint passion for people and for numbers. Being a partner in a CPA firm creates countless opportunities to interact with business owners. My aptitude for understanding the “story” that numbers tell allows me to interact with clients in a way that helps them advance their financial goals.
Can you share a story of a recent rewarding client experience?
During our busy season, a client that I service was involved with an extremely complex transaction, requiring much of my focus and energy. This was an absolutely demanding time of year for CPAs. However, as a result of our planning, we were able to deliver a tax outcome that was quite advantageous for our client.
It gave me a great sense of satisfaction to know that our firm rose to the occasion and helped get our client to an outcome in which he was very appreciative of our help. It’s so rewarding to know that my involvement, and that of other Berlin Ramos staff members, can really help our clients. By helping them obtain their financial goals, we’re able to build these meaningful relationships that benefit both of us.
What has kept you so dedicated to Berlin Ramos?
Let’s look at the initial draw. I was in a small town in rural Pennsylvania, and I had the opportunity to work in a vital metropolitan community in which I had some close friends. I came to Berlin Ramos and found a supportive, positive workplace with terrific clients – I found a home. This is what’s kept me here over the many years that followed.
