What do you like most about your career?
I love the challenges I’m faced with almost on a daily basis. I handle construction contractors, real estate, restaurants, other small businesses, nonprofits, and individual financial statements and income tax returns. That’s quite a mix and it presents me with something new almost every day.
Do you have a passion or hobby outside of work that influences how you do your job?
I used to own a small business, and that has allowed me to see things from the customer’s perspective. That has served me well over the years. When I can look at it from the client’s point of view, it helps me deliver the best possible product and solutions.
How did you come about working at Berlin Ramos?
I was hired at Berlin Ramos when David Nicewarner sold his practice to Berlin Ramos in 1997. I’ve stayed since that time due to the commitment to quality Berlin Ramos has, as well as the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful people I get to work with every day.
Can you recall a highlight of your career?
Well, I have saved clients from the jaws of the IRS on a number of occasions, sometimes saving them in excess of $50,000. Usually, this is done by crafting a brief and cogent response to the dreaded IRS notice received by my clients.
At the end of the day, what brings you the most satisfaction?
The feeling that without me, the clients that I serve would not be better off without the services that I’m able to provide. I am happy knowing that they are pleased with the job I have done for them
