How did you come to work at Berlin Ramos?
I was working at one of the big accounting firms for about a year and wanted a change of pace. I thought a smaller accounting firm would provide me with more opportunity. When I went looking for a new job, I contacted Joseph Speicher – I was friends with his son in high school and knew that he worked for Berlin Ramos. I called him and asked if they were interviewing. The rest is history – I’ve now been at Berlin Ramos for fifteen years!
What drives your passion for accounting?
Building and strengthening client relationships. I am committed to my clients and continually strive to learn about them and their businesses. I am passionate about my clients because I believe it is critical to building an enduring relationship with them. I want to understand their business and personal needs so I can assist in their growth as well as identify opportunities or issues that are affecting them.
What makes for the most successful client relationships?
The one quality that is absolutely crucial is trust – it is an invaluable and non-negotiable trait. I want to be a trusted part of their team and a supporter in helping them achieve their greatest potential and business success.
How has working at Berlin Ramos had a positive effect on your personal life?
I am a mother first, and Berlin Ramos has provided me the flexibility to be a working mom as well as getting involved in the community through my kids’ school and coaching. I have three kids, two girls and a boy. I hope that by seeing me go to work and being successful, that they will want to do the same for themselves. My kids know that daddy isn’t the only one bringing home the bacon!
